Paste the ingredient list off any package. This checks it against the Dirty List and shows you what turned up, plus what to use instead.

What this is not: a safety score. It only looks for the ingredients on our Dirty List, so a clean result means nothing on that list turned up, not that a food is good for you.

And here is what it cannot see: processing. A product can come back with zero matches and still be heavily refined. Two signals are worth more than any additive check: how long the ingredient list is, and how many items on it you would recognise as food in your own kitchen. A short list of real things beats a long list of clean-sounding ones. That is the whole idea, and no scanner replaces it.

Everything runs in your browser; nothing you paste is sent anywhere or stored. Bisphenol A (BPA) is not included here because it is a can lining, not an ingredient, so it never appears in an ingredient list.
