An educational food literacy platform. We break down what is in everyday food and products, explain how your body uses it, and give you the tools to check a label yourself. It is education, not a diet program, and not medical advice.
No. There are no meal plans here, no macros and no rules. We explain how something works and where the evidence comes from, then the choice is yours. Someone who understands why makes better decisions than someone handed a list.
Diet Discipline is written by Reese, its founder. He is not a doctor, a dietitian or a nutritionist, and nothing on this site is medical advice or a replacement for it. What he does is read the primary source, name it on the page, and keep his own opinion clearly separated from the evidence. Always talk to a qualified health professional before changing your diet or health plan.
Two things have to be true: real evidence of harm, and real human exposure. Exposure counts whether you eat it, breathe it or absorb it through your skin, so personal care and cleaning products are in scope, not only food. An ingredient does not have to be banned anywhere to qualify, and every entry names an outside assessment you can go read yourself.
If you want the whole map, start at Part 1 of the Food Literacy Path. If you are holding a package right now, paste the ingredient list into the Label Decoder. If you want one thing to act on this week, open the Swap Finder and look up something you already buy.
